"Well, if I'm going to cradle rob, I might as well get some fun out of it," Jess answered pragmatically.
His concession won an honest smile.
"Yes, I did."
Tilting her head for a moment to lick runaway ice cream clean, Jess nodded to herself.
"I quite like you."

Ben took a small jump from the roof ledge, closer to Spider-Woman. In a quick motion, the rest of his mask peeled off rather easy.
"Yeah? You aren't so bad yourself."
If he hadn't minded the idea of getting ice cream onto his suit, Ben would have just haphazardly closed the gap between them, but he hated going to the dry cleaners and making up lies.
"Heck, I guess I scored the jackpot then."
A hand stuck onto the back of her suit, eager Ben pulled Jessica a bit closer, "Whoops. Sticky fingers."

She didn't flinch at his approach, which rather made Jessica proud of herself. The immediate pseudo-compliment had her mulling for a while, as did his decision to take off his mask completely off once more.
Not that she was complaining. Jess rather liked his eyes.
She was about to retort that he hadn't scored anything, when he pulled her close. That did jolt her and Jess glared up at him. Not that he could see her expression for her mask, but the intent was there nonetheless.
"Stain this suit and you'll be paying a very pretty penny, Mr. Reilly."
Jess was sincerely chastising him just as much as she was teasing. Ben had that sort of effect on her.
"I'd be careful, if I were you."
Having licked her ice cream until it was mostly even with the cone, Jess nibbled on the edge. She didn't really need to concentrate on her balance right now - she rarely did actually - so she kept part of her attention on Ben and the rest on the city below.

"Stain this suit and you'll be paying a very pretty penny, Mr. Reilly."
Ben shot back, "Plus, you can charge me all you want, but I don't make a whole lot in the labrat business." Because of his immune system, Ben was able to take some high paying medicine testing gigs, but he only really made enough to live on.
"I'd be careful, if I were you."
He chuckled a bit, daring to pull her even closer.
The Scarlet Spider studied her eyes a bit before and then said, "Eh, I like to live on the dangerous side." And with that, with a boldness, he leaned in and stole the lips of the Spider-Woman. If he got smacked, so be it, it was worth it in his mind!

Jess had seen this one coming, just not soon enough to chide him for it. Or at least, not surely enough. And truthfully, she wasn't all that opposed, but it was rather fun ribbing him.
Bearing that in mind, there's little surprise that she returned his kiss.
"Then maybe I won't charge you money, O'Hara."

Ben chuckled as he pulled back from their first kiss, "I think you joke more than I do." He rather liked that, having someone that could match his wits all the time.
When he looked her over again and finished his now dripping ice cream, Ben continued, "So then, Jessica Drew, where are we meeting for date number two?"
He couldn't just take off without knowing that, he wanted to see her again for sure.

Jessica tried valiantly not to laugh but her lips kept twitching despite her plan. The unintentional rhyming of 'Drew' and 'two' was not really that amusing, but combined with Ben's valiant fight to finish his cone...
Well, the picture was sort of cute.
After finishing her own ice cream, Jess smiled impishly and finally answered.
"How do you feel about breaking and entering?"

Finishing up his ice cream cone, Ben tilted his head when Jessica asked how he felt about breaking and entering.
"Breaking and entering? You're turning criminal on me already? That's got to be a record."
Pulling his mask down, Ben chuckled.
"Do I have to web you up and turn you in already?"

"I'm not turning into anything," Jess answered. "You're still getting to know me, and oh the fun we are going to have."
A light smirk graced her lips as she backed up towards the edge of the roof.
"Tuesday, five hundred hours, meet me at the Statue of Liberty."

"Oh, five hundred hours? Ma'am, yes ma'am," Ben replied with a half salute. Under his mask, he was still smiling, enjoying this game an awful lot.
He looked her over one more time, deciding this was a great idea.
"I'll see you Tuesday then, Spider-Woman."

Leaning up in an eleve as she reached the edge, Jess saluted back.
"I'll be expecting you."
Somersaulting backwards off the roof, Jess used her webbing to slow down and rise aloft.
Days perfect for gliding like this were her absolute favorite. It let her pull off so many neat tricks.
