Aside from being incredibly intelligent, Gwen is quite the normal girl. She's the top of her class, and don't you forget it, Peter!
History:
Smart, charismatic and rebellious, Gwen is the Chief Intern at Oscorp, a position she takes very seriously. But her life takes a complicated turn as she watches both her boyfriend, Peter, and her mentor, Dr. Connors undergo radical changes.
After her father's death Gwen mourned for a while. Things weren't going smoothly, with her father's death and Peter...Peter - her boyfriend, Peter Parker had been ignoring her! He didn't show up to Captain Stacy's funeral (at least not that she knew of), and she couldn't fathom why he wouldn't after everything had transpired.
Later, after they hadn't talked for a few days she found out. Captain Stacy had told Peter to stay away from Gwen. To protect her. That was just a promise he wouldn't be able to keep, and the two eventually reconciled.
Gwen remains Chief Intern at Oscorp (though she'll later be approached for the same position at Stark Industries in an R&D Department and move up from there). She'll attend ESU (2013-2014 school year) on a scholarship for her phenomenal school record, and she cannot wait for that. She plans to major in Biotechnology, and aims for a PhD. Gwen is intent on making a name for herself in the scientific world.
