Personality: Similar to Peter Parker, but a bit twisted. Ben is darker though. Also, due to his young age, he's incredibly curious. Difficult to interact with, Ben can be selfish and edgy. He's got all of the power, and none of the responsiblity.

Powers or Special Abilities: As Peter Parker's clone, Ben Reilly possesses powers identical to Parker's, including superhuman strength, speed and agility, and the ability to cling to almost any surface. At the time of his death, he also has a precognitive "spider-sense" that warns him of danger. Reilly's reflexes operate up to 40 times faster than those of a normal person, while his strength allows him to lift 150 times his own weight, although he has lifted much more.
Skills: Because Reilly was not in the role of Spider-Man for five years while traveling, his fighting style is less polished than that of Parker's. However, Reilly seems to enjoy fighting more than Parker.
Advantages: In Ben's mind, his lack of Peter's inhibitions are an asset.
Disadvantages: Accelerated Age: Ben's age was accelerated so he'd reach a physical peak almost immediately. Because of this, he was not able to experience life in a traditional means.

History: Ben Reilly was created by the Jackal, an OsCorp scientist obbsessed with perfecting Richard Parker's work, and was the first successful clone of Peter Parker, and given an accelrated aging process, bringing him to a peak physical age, the process ended there and Rilly would age normally from then on. Through arcane science, Reilly is imprinted with Parker's memories and in their first encounter believed himself to be Parker.
After Parker was captured by the Jackal, both Parker and Reilly found themselves in Spider-Man costumes at Shea Stadium, and initially fought each other believing the other was the impostor. In the process of a fight between the two, Reilly appeared to be killed in an explosion, and Parker, fearful of the consequences of a corpse of a second Peter Parker being found, dropped Reilly's body into a smokestack.Reilly survived and escaped from the smokestack.
When he witnessed Parker and Mary Jane Watson in an embrace, Ben decided to embark on a nomadic life. He dubbed himself "Ben Reilly", using his Uncle Ben's first name and his Aunt May's maiden name, Ben Parker and May Reilly respectively. He took some old clothes Parker had intended to donate to charity, and he left New York deeply depressed.
Soon after, Reilly discovered that he could do good for the world, as the Spider-Man that Peter might one day become. He creates his own costume and takes to the streets. At first, people had worried that he was Spider-Man gone slightly dark, due to Ben usually being rougher on criminals. Eventually people realize the difference, and Ben is dubbed the 'Scarlet Spider' by the press when his identity is differentriated from Spider-Man himself.
