Location: Avengers Tower Date: October 8, 2012 Time of Day: 11:30 AM [/i] in her well put together get-up. Just in case, her wasp suit was underneath her clothes. That suit, she had changed it so many times, it was hard to keep track of it. She had a new one just about every other mission she went on. She had invited Natasha and Carol up to her floor (and asked Hank to leave for the day, this was girl's day/night out), because they both wanted alterations done to their suits. Carol had approached her about a whole new suit, actually. Janet eagerly jumped on that, and had a few sketches to show her fellow Avenger. Natasha on the other hand, she didn't want a whole new suit, she just wanted a few alterations. Jan was very happy that they came to her for these things, thrilled even. Most of Hank's things had been replaced with a sewing machine, fabrics, and a few notebooks with her designs in them. The occasional jarred bug or lone test tube laid around, a reminder that this was his workspace. She rolled her eyes at the thought, how silly he could be! Neither girl had shown up, but they weren't too far away. She sat down, the chair was overly comfy. A pencil in hand, Jan shaded a dress she would make eventually. It wouldn't take them forever to work on suits though, and Jan had decided that she'd take her two teammates to lunch after. Maybe they could have a glass of wine while they ate. What could one glass do? [/ul]

Carol was still getting used to living in the Avengers Tower - it wasn't all that long ago that she was living all by her lonesome - with her fluffy ginger cat, Chewie - in a stuffy little apartment... Joining the Avengers had sure been a big change for the retired Air Force Major.
She couldn't believe that today, a Monday, she didn't have to report for duty - she didn't have to clock in to a 'job'. No, today was just another day, on-call with the Avengers. And also, today she was getting together with Jan to discuss a new costume design for her Ms. Marvel persona. Natasha would be there too, and Jan had mentioned that there would be lunch involved.
A good day, indeed - especially for a Monday!
Dressed in jeans and a cute top, Carol made her way to Jan's apartment within the Avengers Tower and had JARVIS let their hostess know that she had arrived.

[/url] was formal, and she had planned to wear it at some point... she just didn't know when. Hopefully she'd be able to go to such an event in the coming months, she had already bought the appropriate fabrics and adornments, everything! "Do you like it, Carol?" She knew this wasn't what her friend had came for, but another girl's opinion was always helpful with fashion choices. Janet grew up as an only child, so she never got to have another girl around to talk boys and fashion with. She hoped she could develop more of those relationships with her fellow female Avengers.[/ul]

* * *Natasha cared little for social conventions. So naturally, instead of letting Jarvis announce her presence, she decided to see how long it would take her to hack the passcodes into Hank’s workspace.
Three minutes and 21 seconds, it turned out. She was getting rusty.
“Sorry,” she said, stepping into the space. She wasn’t, of course, but it was polite to say so.
Major Danvers was already here, and the placed was kitted out almost as much as Janet was. Tasha didn’t really care that she was underdressed in her dark jeans and loose mustard-coloured tank over a heather grey camisole – she’d slipped into them after a spot of training, and she had no intentions of changing.
The fabrics that filled up the place were really of no consequence to her, either – all she was interested in was new gloves. Black. Simple. As long as they were rated for some sort of electrical protection, they would do fine; she couldn’t have a repeat of last time, was all. And while she knew Tony could invent some new polymer that might be just what she needed, this saved her the exasperation of dealing with him.
Besides, normal people interacted like this. Loose. Informal. She needed more of that in her life if she was going to be more than Agent Romanoff. * * *

"Carol," She motioned over with a smile, "Come sit, please.”
Carol stepped into the room with a smile and thanked Jan for letting her in – manners were not something at all foreign to the retired Air Force Major. She took a seat near the TV, but… it wasn’t on. So, Carol looked at Jan as the petite young woman instead and at the book that she handed her. There was a drawing of a dress, and Carol was sure that Jan must have designed it. It was adorable – really frilly and girly. Not at all Carol’s style, but she was sure it would look great on the winsome Wasp. Everything looked fabulous on Jan – Carol bet even a burlap bag would look stunning on her.
"Do you like it, Carol?"
“Oh, yeah – it’s quite pretty, Jan,” Carol replied, giving the young woman a sincere smile. She just hoped that Jan had something a bit more… durable in mind for her new uniform. “Is there a special occasion coming up?” Carol asked.
“Sorry,” [Natasha] said, stepping into the space.
Carol nearly gasped when she saw Natasha – the deadly Black Widow – walk into the room in the most casual outfit she’d ever seen her in. But, she managed not to actually gasp out loud.
Not that there was anything wrong with her attire – it just seemed a little shocking to see the ever-professional, ever-on-guard woman letting her hair down, so to speak. Carol then gave a little smirk of approval as she realized that Natasha must be feeling more comfortable with her Avengers teammates.
This was a good thing.
“Don’t be sorry,” Carol said invitingly. “The more, the merrier – right, Jan?”
