“Avengers Assemble! As in get your asses up and let's go!”
MOCKINGBIRD
Name: Barbara Morse-Barton
Alias(es): Bobbi, Mocky, Agent 19, Huntress
REGULAR
Age: 32
Height: 5' 8”
Physical Description: Fairly average height, blonde, beautiful... I'm not sounding too cocky, am I? It isn't like appearances can't be deceiving anyway. Thanks to being turned into a science experiment, I'm more fit than ever.
Face Claim: Candice Accola
Personality: Aside from being a science nerd and, I must confess, an adrenaline junkie, I guess I can be best described as confident. Despite everything I've been through, there isn't a chance I'm going to willingly let it show. If you look weak then you ARE weak in some ways, you know? I love being around people and making a difference. I'm not as good a person as Clint wants me to be though. I just don't forgive that easily.
Affiliation: S.H.I.E.L.D., Avengers
Identity: SECRET
Powers or Special Abilities: By rights, none. After I graduated with my PhD from Georgia Tech, I managed to get permission to work on reviving the Super Soldier serum and joined up with S.H.I.E.L.D. That's where I got most of my training.
Kind of funny in retrospect. I helped revive part of the serum I was injected with. I heard Clint insisted. To save my life. Well, I owe Peter as well for getting me to the hospital so fast, but he wasn't the one to make the call.
Sort of sweet, even if I do feel like a laboratory experiment now. So yeah, bits of super soldier and infinity serum inside me now. Who knows what all they've changed, but I can tell you I'm aging slower and I'm a whoooole lot stronger now.
Skills:
Well, let's see. I graduated top of my class at Tech and S.H.I.E.L.D., so I'd conservatively say that I'm intelligent and a quick study.
I'm also trained in espionage and counterespionage techniques, as well as several forms of hand to hand combat, although my favorite involves my battle staves. I can wield them separately or combined like a bo staff. And yes, I am excellent with them. How else would a girl with no super hero powers keep up with the Avengers?
Now, of course, there's that serum mucking about with my biology.
Advantages:
It's never a good idea to give away all your strengths and weaknesses, but again, I am a highly trained S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and a sometime Avenger. And don't think that just because I work for the government means I can't whoop all your asses, because trust me, sugar, I can.
I try not to let my emotions impair my judgement too much, which I suppose is an advantage on a survival level at least. I was once told my skill in combat rivaled the Cap. Take that as you will.
Disadvantages:
Well, first off, being completely honest here, despite the fact I don't want my emotions to get in the way they do. I hold grudges and am not above seeking vengeance. Kind of a double disadvantage really because that always seems to get me in trouble with Hawky and I... well, part of me really does need him.
Also, the whole, most of my life not having super powers thing. I don't even know what's happened to me now just yet, so even though that may be an advantage later, right now... not so much. I feel like I'm having to learn the ropes all over again.
Occupation: S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and sometime Avenger
Citizenship: America
Place of Birth: San Diego, CA
Relatives: Clint Barton (husband, somewhat estranged)
History:
I don't really like dredging up my past for strangers, so let's keep this short and sweet. Like I mentioned before, I got into S.H.I.E.L.D. shortly after graduation. I was working as a biologist then, but it didn't take me too long to become a full fledged member. Agent 19 and top of my class, I'm not too proud to say.
Anyway, that's how I met my husband, Clint. He was involved in a case I was investigating and we hit it off. Ended up eloping shortly after, and no, I don't regret not waiting.
But out happiness didn't last forever. I was isolated by Phantom Rider and drugged out of my mind. For the longest time, I didn't remember who I really was, and I definitely didn't remember Clint. Phantom Rider was intent on having me for his bride, and... well, it took me a while to remember, you know?
I fought him later, right to the edge of a cliff. I let him fall.
I just wasn't a good enough person to want to save someone who had victimized me so thoroughly and for so long.
Clint didn't see it that way though. I don't even know if he believed me. He... well, we're trying to reconcile. The fact he cared enough to save me after I was wounded so severely has to say something, right?
That's all the highlights. I suppose I should mention my parents think I'm dead, but otherwise, I'd rather leave them out of it.
