Location: Bavira, Strucker Castle Date: 11/30/1943 Time of Day: Early MorningThe orders were clear. Bring back Baron von Strucker and Baron Zemo, dead or alive. The Howlin' Commandos had been hot on Hydra's heels for some time now, busting up factories and killing former Nazis. The group of soldiers were preparing for an all out war. This wasn't another factory, this was a castle, prepared for this kind of invasion.
Beyond Captain America, the Sniper Bucky and the rest of the Commandos, they'd gained allies. a former Canadian parachute specialist with no regards to his own safety, and no sense of manners, Jimmy Howlett. And the lord of a world beneath the waters, Namor. The duo were two of the finest fighters Cap had ever met, and they rarely used guns.
The two had quickly risen to Cap's level in combat, if not surpassing him due to their natural gifts. Today wouldn't be a cake walk for sure. Jimmy was going to cover the entrance and distract, while Cap and Namor would sneak in and attempt to compromise the targets to a permanent end. Strapping his shield on, Steven Rogers looked to Namor and nodded.
"Are you ready Namor? You sure I can't convince you to bring a gun?"

"Are you ready Namor?"
Namor stretched his arms and rolled his head, straining the fabric of the battle dress he'd accepted. The clothing of the surface world was constricting and uncomfortable, but he wore it in token of friendship. But not boots. He stood barefoot in the snow, because there were some things even friends should not presume to ask.
"I am, Captain." That was how he always addressed Steve, when they were in the field. Captain. Not that he accepted Captain America as his commander, but as a token of respect. One noble warrior to another.
"You sure I can't convince you to bring a gun?"
A flicker of irritation crossed Namor's face, before he made himself remember that Captain America intended no insult by the question. Guns were the chosen weapon of the warriors of the surface world, and the Captain was extending a courtesy.
"I will not refuse your gift, Captain. I will accept a gun, and ask only that you take no offense if I do not use it." He raised his arm and clenched a fist. "The power of a true Prince of the Blood will serve me will."
A few minutes later, M1911A1 and holster strapped around his waist, he turned to regard the castle. "I mislike the idea of 'sneaking in'. We are mighty, Captain. We should strike like sharks, killing what we wish, leaving only blood and terror in our wakes."

"I mislike the idea of 'sneaking in'. We are mighty, Captain. We should strike like sharks, killing what we wish, leaving only blood and terror in our wakes."
Captain Rogers chuckled a bit as he checked his supplies, "You've been spending too much time with Jimmy. Sounds like something he'd say." He put his gun back in it's holster and patted Namor's shoulder, "The mission began a minute ago, let's move."
Everyone besides Steve and Namor would be on distraction duty. Bucky would begin the operation by sniping a guard or two, then the other Invaders would lead the charge with Jimmy in front. From there, Cap and Namor would be able to slip into the castle and work their way up. Steve would plant Howard Stark's new plastic charges as they made the jump into the waters below. Cap trusted his enhanced body to deal with the cold, while Namor had proven time and again, the water was his home.
BANG
There was Bucky's shot. Steve heard the crunches of footsteps as Jim Howlett and Dum Dum Dugan charged out from the woods. Cap looked to Namor and nodded, "Time to get to work my friend."

"I mislike the idea of 'sneaking in'. We are mighty, Captain. We should strike like sharks, killing what we wish, leaving only blood and terror in our wakes."
Captain Rogers seemed to find his suggestion amusing, and Namor would have found the laughter of any lesser man insulting. But he knew that the Captain meant no offense. That he was only amused by the differences in their attitude towards war.
"You've been spending too much time with Jimmy. Sounds like something he'd say."
"There is wisdom in his words, Captain. Let us teach these Nazis to fear us."
The Captain merely sheathed his weapon, before resting a comradely hand on his shoulder. "The mission began a minute ago, let's move."
"As you wish, Captain," Namor said, flexing his fists and unfolding his wings. "These are your lands. Lead on, the Avenging Son follows."
BANG
The Captain's right-hand man fired once, and a sentry fell from the castle walls. As Howlett and Dugan raced toward the walls from the treeline, tommy-guns blazing and satchel charges bouncing on their backs, Bucky lined up another shot. And another. And another. And with each shot, a black-uniformed soldier fell.
Cap looked to Namor and nodded, "Time to get to work my friend."
With a silent nod of understanding Namor hurled himself from the top of the ravine, striking the frigid waters below, slicing into them like a diving cormorant. He inhaled deeply, flaring his gills and reveling in the feel of clean, heavy water filling his lungs. Looking around, he spotted the iron grate of the sewer outflow. Two quick kicks of his feet brought him to the grate and, with simple twists and jerks, he tore each bar free and tossed it aside.
"Captain," he called, assuming Steve would be able to hear his words, "Our way is clear and our information is sound. There are gaps you may use to breathe, until we find our way in."
(OOC: I hope I interpreted this correctly...)

(OOC: Works for me, this is more exciting then going directly in.) "Captain," he called, assuming Steve would be able to hear his words, "Our way is clear and our information is sound. There are gaps you may use to breathe, until we find our way in.
Steve didn't have any reason not to trust Namor. The man certainly knew his way around water, and had gotten Cap out of many a dangerous situation, he couldn't insult the man by not trusting him now. "I'll follow your lead Namor." Steve was usually a leader, but when it came to someone as bold as Namor, he certainly could allow the man to use his expertise to lead the way.
Namor was an enigma, but a powerful one, Cap was a humble man, being in charge was not more important than completing the mission.
Through the sewer they went. The Captain wasn't thrilled about where they swam, but it would get the job done, and he could clean himself up later. Whenever there was a gap, he filled his enhanced lungs with air before continuing on behind the King of Atlantis.

Namor darted ahead, as much at home in the water as he was on the land. More so, in fact, as the denser medium allowed him to use his senses to their full potential. He followed subtle pressure waves in the water, waves deriving from sounds too soft and too attenuated to be sensible as speech. With subtle motions of arms and legs and ankle wings, he navigated the stone tunnels of the castle's sewers.
There. Above him, through the grate.
Silently, he slipped back under the water and darted back through the tunnel to surface beside the Captain. Turning his head, he expelled a stream of water from mouth and nose and gill slits, then reinflated his lungs with the tenuous medium of the surface world. "I have found our entry point, I believe. Perhaps a dozen more meters that way," he pointed, "there is a floor grate. It is guarded by men in black uniforms - whether SS or HYDRA I was unable to discern."
He floated silently for a moment, gently moving arms and legs, allowing the Captain to digest this news. "Come, let us fall upon them," he urged, finally. "Let them remember that even sharks fear the Orca."

Steve tried to keep up with Namor, but the man was an incredible swimmer, Cap didn't stand a chance. Every chance he had to swim up and refill his lungs with oxygen, he did. This would have been the perfect infiltration if Cap could just stay behind Namor.
Luckily, that's when they finally reached a point where they could break in. Namor had come back and spoke to him under the water. Telling him about the grate, Cap nodded and said, "Then let's get in there. Nazis or Hydra doesn't matter if you ask me. Intelligence sent us to take down this tower, then that's what we're going to do." He was ready to get out of the water and back into the action. He had plastic explosives prepared to blow the castle to pieces after they were done here.
He chuckled when Namor made a reference to the predators of the sea. The things he'd seen since coming to Germany still amazed the Captain.
"Whenever you're ready Pal," Steve affirmed Namor's plan. Cap knew there had to be a chain of command for the commandos, however, he wasn't above taking advice from his friends in their team. Namor was a warrior. He unclipped the button that kept his gun sheathed. Luckily all of the pockets on his uniform had been waterproofed, at the behest of Howard Stark, everything was set up to be used in any kind of environment. Cap drew his pistol and nodded.
