Location: The Hellfire Club Date: July 7, 2012 Time of Day: Evening
Victor von Doom, Monarch of Latveria, sat enthroned in a padded leather armchair, awaiting his hostess. Enthroned was an appropriate choice of words. It was an ordinary chair - expensive and comfortable, to be certain, but otherwise ordinary - but he sat with the unconscious attitude of a man accustomed to power. And he was a powerful man. Both physically - as the tigerish ripple of muscles beneath his tailored suit of hunter green revealed - and intellectually.
There was a dull, inaudible thumping in the room, the result of even the best soundproofing being unable to keep out the bass thumping from the publically accessible portions of the club. The muffled vibrations only served to heighten the distance between the man in the room and the nature of the club. He had firmly - but politely - rejected all offers of drink, or of food, or of companionship, stating only that "I am here on matters of state, not of pleasure".
And so he sat, and awaited the pleasure of the Black King and of the White Queen.

"Call me old fashioned, your Highness," a voice called out from the opening door, "But, should I be worried that my liquor and wine is not of a high enough quality for Victor von Doom? I should have my Sommelier replaced. I know he's getting a bit up there, but I didn't realize his mind was starting to go as well. You must indulge me though, I'll have someone go out and acquire something more suitable for your interests, just name it." Sebastian Shaw joined the Monarch in the club room, dressed in one of his typical black suit with the ruffled red shirt and heavy collar.
"Oh, forgive my rudeness your Majesty. Sebastian Shaw. An honor of the highest caliber, if I may say so."
Sitting down across from Victor once a proper introduction was made, Shaw continued to speak, "I'd begin our meeting, but I'm afraid the White Queen will be handling our business, so we must wait for her. I'm sure you understand that she always takes her time. Apparently, keeping royalty waiting is somewhat of a thrill of her's."

Victor rose gracefully as the door opened, admitting a lean man in black and red.
"Call me old fashioned, your Highness," the man - Sebastian Shaw, according to the dossier his intelligence service had assembled, reputed to be the Black King of the Hellfire Club - said in tones of velvet over steel. "But, should I be worried that my liquor and wine is not of a high enough quality for Victor von Doom? I should have my Sommelier replaced. I know he's getting a bit up there, but I didn't realize his mind was starting to go as well. You must indulge me though, I'll have someone go out and acquire something more suitable for your interests, just name it."
Victor inclined his head slightly, and allowed a smile to touch his lips. "I assure you," he replied, "you need have no concerns for the quality of your hospitality. I simply do not wish to mix business and pleasure."
A pause, while the man closed the door. "Oh, forgive my rudeness your Majesty. Sebastian Shaw. An honor of the highest caliber, if I may say so."
"Mr. Shaw," Von Doom said, shaking his hand. "The honor is mine, I assure you."
"Perhaps." Von Doom shrugged. "But, it has been said, that we live only to discover beauty. All else is a form of waiting." A pause, and another hint of a smile. "So let us wait for your White Queen."

[/i] per say, like a display of her powers. Her beauty was enough to get everyone's attention. Radiance, was a good descriptor. Emma's beauty shamed others, as daylight doth a lamp. "It's a pleasure to finally meet in person," Emma started smoothly, walking towards the two sitting men. "I do apologize, I would have arrived earlier, but I had a few unresolved issues that needed to be dealt with." Her explanation stopped there, hearing about her day was not what had brought Victor von Doom. No, there was much more pressing matters at hand. She wore her standard clothing at the Hellfire Club. Lingerie, in her color white, accompanied by a pair of high heels. It would have looked far more revealing if it wasn't for the fact that she had her white cloak on, with that luxurious fur hood. It covered most of her torso, but some skin was showing, there's not much she could do about that. Intellectual conversations wouldn't entertain all her guests. She sat comfortably aside her Black King, had he knew what she had planned for him. Emma perked up before she thought anything that might come back to haunt her. Not that anyone in the room was a telepath. "How do you like the States?" She decided on initiating conversation, "Quite different from your home of Latveria?" [/ul]

The door opened, and Emma Frost graced the room with her presence.
It was a masterful display of presence, von Doom decided as he rose. Dressed in a corset and stockings and high heels, she should have looked like nothing more than a common tramp. But she wore the absurd costume as if it were a royal gown, secure and confident and regal.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet in person," Emma started smoothly, walking towards the two sitting men. "I do apologize, I would have arrived earlier, but I had a few unresolved issues that needed to be dealt with."
Von Doom bowed. "My lady," he said, briefly taking her hand and brushing his lips against her gloved knuckles, "had you asked me to wait a lifetime, I would have counted it a small price to pay."
Her costume was, he decided, a weapon.
She sat comfortably aside her Black King, had he knew what she had planned for him. Emma perked up before she thought anything that might come back to haunt her. Not that anyone in the room was a telepath. "How do you like the States?" She decided on initiating conversation, "Quite different from your home of Latveria?"
"They are much as I remember them from my college days," von Doom said, taking his own seat. "Boistrous. Enthusiastic. Youthful." He paused, considering his words. "Undisciplined, as well. A nation with great potential, lacking only a strong guiding hand."

Von Doom and Emma seemed to be getting along very well. And it seemed that he was no longer necessary in this conversation. Emma would be able to initiate some business with the Monarch of Latveria, Shaw had no doubt that there would be any further issue he needed to attend to here at the moment.
Standing, he smiled pleasantly to the duo, "Now that the proper introductions have been made, if it does not offend your Majesty, I must take my leave to attend to other matters involving the Hellfire Club." He offered a half bow and a nod to Emma, "If you'll please excuse my exit."
He waited, and when there was no further argument, Sebastian took his leave, going out of the room and up the stairs. There were business deals to be made, henchmen to acquire, so many things to do, even Victor von Doom could not keep Sebastian in one spot for a very long period of time.
