"And you," Steve answered cheerfully. He was happy to see her smiling.

On the phone, she had sounded a bit off.

Now it seemed like it was turning around.

"So, how are you then?" Steve asked, looking for an honest answer from her, it's not like these meetings were unusual, but Steve did really have good hearing, her tone wasn't hard to pick out.

While Bobbi had long ago joined the ranks of those people who understood the 'how are you' question was typically meant to be rhetorical and was only asked in show, the SHIELD agent also knew that typical rules went out the window when it came to one Steve Rogers. The man was nothing if not sincere.

"I've been a lot better," she admitted quietly. "Bit of an off week."

Steve figured as much. He smiled and said, "I hear you." Truthfully, there was no way Steve's problems could be as big as Bobbi's, as he was only missing Natasha, but he wasn't exactly at his best either at the moment.

"Tell me about it," Steve asked earnestly, "I'm good at listening."
